A Skipper with H.M. Trawler Jessie Nutten, Oscar died on 4th of September 1916 at the age of 32. 

Oscar was born at Oulton Broad on 26 February 1884, a son of John and Laura Pitcher. From 14 March 1887 Oscar attended Cunningham School. In 1891 his family lived at 94 Pakefield Street, Kirkley. 

In 1901 Oscar was the fourth hand on the trawler Admiral, LT 349, at Pembroke Dock. Oscar was awarded his certificate of competency as a skipper in 1904. 

A Civilian, Henry died on 7th of February 1941 aged 32. 

Henry was born at Barnby on 14 March 1908, a son Henry Charles and Beatrice Rackham. In 1911 his family lived at 14 Sycamore Avenue, Carlton Colville. In 1921 their address was 37 Sycamore Avenue and later Henry’s parents lived at 56 Sycamore Avenue. 

Formerly a Gunner with the Royal Garrison Artillery, Thomas died on 2nd of February 1924 at the age of 32.

Thomas was born at Earsham, Norfolk, on 12 July 1891, a son of Robert and late Sarah Eliza Raven. He was baptised at Earsham, on 11 April 1892. In 1901 they lived 'near Ivy Farm', Beccles Road, Carlton Colville. By 1911 Thomas' mother had died and his father married Harriet. In 1911 his family lived at 7 Beccles Road, Oulton Broad, and Thomas worked as a scavenger.

A Sergeant with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Sturgess died on 13th of July 1943 aged 32. 

Sturgess was born at Briston, near Melton Constable, Norfolk, on 29 September 1911, a son of William Herbert and Mildred Rayner. In 1921 his family lived at Briston.

In 1935 Sturgess married Grace Maud Ebbage, this was registered in the Erpingham district. In 1939 they lived at ‘Dawn’, 19 Highland Way, Oulton Broad, and Sturgess was a coach painter and member of the Auxiliary Fire Service. 

An Able Seaman with H.M.S. Porpoise, James died on 31st of May 1916 at the age of 32. 

James was born at Raveningham on 1 April 1882, a son of John and Hannah Reynolds. In 1891 his family lived at Lowestoft Road, Flixton, and by 1901 they were living at Sunny Bank, Herringfleet Road, Herringfleet. In 1911 their address was 12 Sunny Bank Cottages, Herringfleet Road, Herringfleet.  

James joined the Royal Navy on 24 February 1898 and served continually in the Royal Navy until his death at the Battle of Jutland. He was drafted to H.M.S. Porpoise on 1 January 1915. 

A Chief Engineman with H.M. Motor Minesweeper 101. Henry died on 29th of November 1944 at the age of 32.

Henry was born at Lowestoft on 6 October 1912, a son of Henry Ashley Roach and Harriet Elizabeth Roach. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 1 November 1912, and his family lived at 8 The Hemplands. By 1921 his family were living at 20 Melbourne Road, Lowestoft, and by 1944 at 5 Alexandra Road.

A Private with 6th Bn., William died on 18th of September 1918 at the age of 32. 

William was born at Lowestoft on 17 August 1886, a son of James and Louisa Maria Robbens. On 10 September 1886 he was baptised at Saint John's Church, Lowestoft, and his family lived at 40 Clemence Street. In 1891 his family lived at 42 Clemence Street, Lowestoft. By 1901 they were living at 13 Sandringham Road, and William was a cycle maker's apprentice. In 1911 they lived at 64 Tonning Street, Lowestoft, and William was a fish worker/curer. 

A Skipper with the trawler Boy Sam (Lowestoft), Harry died on 12 May 1916 at the age of 32.

Harry was born at Lowestoft on 13 November 1881, a son of James and Ellen Anne Rose. He was baptised at Christchurch, Lowestoft, on 11 January 1882. In 1884 his family lived at 5 Barcham Square, Lowestoft, and by 1891 at 25 Crown Street, then 5 Mummery Cottages, Tennyson Road. In 1897 they lived at 2 Eastern Square, Lowestoft, and by 1901 at 236 Raglan Street, and Harry was a smacksman. Later his parents lived at 41 Wollaston Road, Lowestoft. 

A Private with the 18th Battalion, Percy died on 10th of November 1917 at the age of 32.

Percy was born at Blundeston on 8 March 1885, a son of John and Mary Ann Rudd. In 1891 his family lived at High Street, Blundeston. By 1901 they were living at The Street, Blundeston, and Percy was a bricklayer’s labourer. Later his mother lived at Ocean Cottages, Blundeston. 

On 22 February 1911 Percy sailed on the Royal George for Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

An Engineman with H.M. Trawler Bracklyn, John died on 11th of May 1917 at the age of 32. 

John was born at Lowestoft on 17 January 1885, a son of Aldous Ward and Sarah Elizabeth Saunders. He was baptised at Christchurch, Lowestoft, on 25 February 1885, and his family lived at Anguish Street. By 1901 his family was living at 2 Wellington Cottages and in 1911 they lived at 2 Herring Fishery Score. It is possible that in 1901 John was working on the trawler Smiling Morn, LT 768.    

A Deck Hand with H.M. Drifter Dewey, Edward died on 12th of August 1917 at the age of 32. 

Edeward was born at Lowestoft on 19 October 1880, a son of Mark and Elizabeth Simpson. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church, Lowestoft, on 5 December 1880. In 1881 his family lived at 59 Bevan Street and, by 1901, at 28 Beckham Road. In 1901 Edward worked as a fish labourer

On 19 December 1915 Edward married Lucy Emma Barnes. They lived at 20 Beckham Road and by 1916 they were living at 28 Bailsham Road, Lowestoft. Later Lucy lived at 3 Sudbury Cottages, Bevan Street.

A Private with 1st Bn., William died on 16th of June 1915 at the age of 32. 

William was born at Lowestoft in 1885, a son of William Henry and Rebecca Smith. In 1891 his family were living at 3 Lake Lothing Terrace, Laundry Lane, Lowestoft. William was baptised at Saint John's Church, Lowestoft, on 8 July 1892, and his family lived at 12 Stevens Street. In 1901 their address was 6 Laundry Lane and William was a fisherman. By 1907 his parents were living at 27 Crown Street, Lowestoft, and later they lived at 63 Tonning Street, Lowestoft. 

A Private with the 2/6th (Cyclist) Battalion, William died on 27th of July 1916 at the age of 32.

William was born at Cookley, Suffolk, in 1884, a son of John and Emily Stannard. In 1891 his family lived at 3 Edinburgh Road. By 1901 they were living at 7 Ipswich Road and William was a journeyman blacksmith.

In 1907 William married Lily Emma Field. There wedding seems to have taken place at Frostenden. In 1911 they lived at 41 Sussex Road and William was a tramway motorman for Lowestoft Borough Council. Later Lily lived at 17 Morton Road.

A Private with the 10th Battalion, Timothy died on 29 June 1916, at the age of 32.

Timothy was born at Lowestoft on 15 July 1883, a son of Charles and Jane Sterry. In 1891 his family lived at 213 Clapham Road, Lowestoft, and by 1901 the family home was at 42 Queens Road, Lowestoft. By 1911 they had moved to 30 Park Road, Lowestoft. Timothy worked as a fish labourer. 

A Stoker Petty Officer with H.M.S. Matabele, Thomas died on 17th of January 1942 aged 32. 

Thomas was born at Murton Colliery, Easington, Durham, on 2 August 1909, a son of Robert and Catherine Stoker. In 1911 his family lived at 37 Stoddart Street, Tyne Docks, South Shields. By 1921 their home was at 9 Thompson Street, Tyne Docks, South Shields.  

A Lance Corporal with 2nd Battalion, Thomas died on 10th of December 1916 at the age of 32. 

Thomas was born at Great Yarmouth in 1884, a son of William and Elizabeth Stolworthy. In 1891 his family lived at 10 Blinde Middle Street, Great Yarmouth. By 1901 his father had died, and his family lived 5 Trinity Passage, South Gates Road, Great Yarmouth, and Thomas was a tinman at a potted meat preserving factory. 

A Trimmer with H.M. Trawler Amy. Jacob died on 11th of April 1917 at the age of 32. 

Jacob was born at Peckham, London, on 9 June 1884, a son of Thomas and Eliza Stratford. He was baptised at Camden Church, Peckham Road, Camberwell, on 12 October 1884, and his family lived at 2 Lisford Street. In 1891 his family lived at 2 Caln Street, Camberwell. Arthur attended Cator Street School and between 18 November 1893 and 16 December 1897 he attended Arthur Street School: about this time his family lived at 4 Fenham Road.  

A Gunner with 51 (Midland) Medium Regiment, George died on 23rd of June 1944 aged 32. 

George was born at Tunstall, Staffordshire, on 20 December 1911, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Ann Tatler. In 1921 his family lived at 12 Watergate Street, Tunstall.

In 1934 George married Ida Dorothy Jones, this was registered in the Mutford district. By 1939 they were living at 69 Waveney Crescent and George was a salesman. 

A Sergeant with the 3rd Battalion, George died on 22nd of July 1917 at the age of 32. 

George was born at Norwich in 1883, a son of Edward James and Emma Taylor. In 1891 his family lived at 47 Ber Street, Norwich. 

A Mate with Steam Drifter Lord Carnarvon (Lowestoft), Albert died on 19th of November 1914 at the age of 32.

Albert was born at Thorpe, Norwich, on 9 December 1881, a son of Maria Utting. He was baptised at Saint Andrew's Church, Thorpe, on 7 September 1884. By 1890 his family were living at Beccles, and from 28 July 1890 Albert attended Geldeston School. In 1891 his family lived at The Street, Geldeston. 

A Drummer with the 8th Battalion, William died on 3rd of June 1916 at the age of 32. 

William was born at Lowestoft on 3 September 1883, a son of Samuel and Louisa Garwood Ward. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 3 May 1886. In 1891 his family lived at 21 Reeve Street. By 1901 William was lodging at 40 Temperley Road, Streatham, and William was a gas-fitter’s apprentice.

A Corporal with 9th Bn. Hubert died on 22nd of December 1915 at the age of 32. 

Hubert was born at Blundeston in 1883, a son of Thomas and Martha Anne Ward. He was baptised at Saint Mary's Church, Blundeston, on 1 April 1883. In 1891 his family lived at High Street, Blundeston and by 1901 his family were living at The Street, Blundeston, and Hubert worked as a bricklayer's labourer. In 1911 they still lived at The Street, Blundeston, and Hubert worked as a bricklayer. Later his parents lived at 17 Brickfields Cottages, Somerleyton.

A Private with the 6th Battalion, Walford died on 10th of October 1917 at the age of 32.

Walford was born at Hanford, Norfolk, in 1885, a son of George and Susanna Watts. He was baptised at Hainford parish church on 19 April 1885. Walford's mother died, and his father remarried. By 1891 his family was living at Stokesby with Herringfleet, and by 1901 they were living at Thorpe next Haddiscoe and Walford worked as a stockman on a farm (possibly Hall Farm). Later his father and step-mother, Rachel, lived at Crossway Cottages, Blundeston. 

A Stoker 1st Class with H.M.S. Pembroke, Alexander died on 4th of September 1917 at the age of 32. 

Alexander was born at Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 28 June 1885, a son of James and Jane Westgarth. In 1891 his family lived at 12 Severn Terrace, Carlton Colville, and by 1901 at Worcester Terrace, Carlton Colville. 

A Sergeant with 2nd Bn. Michael died on 14th of September 1914 at the age of 32. 

Michael was born at Islington, London, a son of Mabel Emma Williams. By 1901 his mother and sister were living at No. 6 Row 99 Kings Street, Great Yarmouth, later they lived at Rose Cottage, Milton Road, Lowestoft, 48 Lorne Park Road, and then 80 Beaconsfield Road, Lowestoft.

Michael worked as a labourer. He served with the 7th (Militia) Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps before joining the regular battalions of the Regiment, at Great Yarmouth, on 28 November 1900. 

A Rifleman with the 2/9th Battalion, Leonard died on 26th of September 1917 at the age of 32. 

Leonard was born at Lowestoft in 1885, a son of William James Williams and Susan Elliott Williams. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 17 April 1885. In 1891 his family lived at 110 Raglan Street, Lowestoft. Leonard attended The College, Beccles. By 1911 his family were living at Kilwimung, 46 Alexandra Road, Lowestoft, and Leonard worked as a clerk at a fishing business.

A Skipper with Steam Trawler Newhaven (Lowestoft), Edward died on 15th of January 1940 at the age of 32. 

Edward was born at Lowestoft on 5 November 1907, a son of William George and Louisa Elizabeth Wright. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church, Lowestoft, on 28 November 1907, and his family lived at Ezra Cottage, 8 The Hemplands. By 1911 Edward’s mother had died and his family still lived at Ezra Cottage.
