A Civilian, Annie died on 25 April 1916, aged 21.Annie was born at Lowestoft on 31 March 1895, a daughter of William Robert and Emma Elizabeth Davey. A baby, Robert died on 25 April 1916, aged nine months.Very little biographical information has been found about Robert. On 25 April 1916 Robert and his mother were living in shared accommodation at 20 Sandringham Road. During the German bombardment of Lowestoft a shell went straight through the house, bringing down the upper floor, killing Robert and two others. Robert's mother was seriously injured and two others in the house were also injured. Robert was buried at Lowestoft Cemetery, Normanston Drive, on 29 April 1916. AddedToBook

A Private with the 4th Battalion, Thomas died on 18th of November 1943 aged 27. Thomas was born at Lowestoft, on 6 April 1916, a son of Thomas Charles and Ethel Tuttle. He was baptised at Saint Margarets Church, Lowestoft, on 27 April 1916, and his family lived at 66 Tennyson Road. By August 1916 his family were living at 26 White Hart Street, and this was still their home in 1921. Thomas’ father died in 1933 and by 1939 the family home was at 47 Mariners Street. A Deck Hand with H.M. Armed Fishing Smack Ivanhoe, George died on 9th of January 1919 at the age of 18. George is believed to have been born at Lowestoft on 12 January 1901, a son of Agnes Emily Brown. In 1901 George, and his mother, lodged at 36 Arnold Street. During 1904 George’s mother married Benjamin Norman. On 11 October 1904 he became a pupil at Cunningham School and his family lived at 9 Wellington Road. He left Cunningham School on 15 June 1910 as his family had moved into Lowestoft. In 1911 his family lived at 32 Haward Street. AddedToBook
A Stoker 1st Class with H.M. Submarine Triad, Leonard died on 20th of October 1940 at the age of 26. Son of Ernest Henry and Florence Maud Gooch of Blacksmiths Loke Lound.Leonard was born at Coltishall, Norfolk, on 11 January 1914, a son of Ernest Henry and Florence Maud Gooch. By 1921 Leonard's family were living at Bridge Road, Ludham, and by 1939 they had moved to Blacksmith's Loke, Hopton. Subsequently they lived at 2 Widow's Cottages, Somerleyton. AddedToBook
An Aircraftman 2nd Class with the Royal Air Force, William died on 5th of November 1939 aged 19. William was born at Caister-on-Sea, Norfolk, in 1920, a son of William Youngs Alice Dye. In 1921 his family lived at Ruthens Loke, Caister-on-Sea. By 1939 his family were living at 266 Saint Peter’s Street, Lowestoft, where his father had a shop.William served with 38 Squadron. An Able Seaman with H.M. Submarine P.39, Gordon died on 8th of May 1942 aged 29. Gordon was born at Lowestoft on 25 March 1913, a son of William Samuel and Matilda Susan Peck. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 22 June 1906, and his family lived at 12 Beckham Road. By 1911 his family were living at 87 Roman Road and this was still their home in 1921 when Ronald worked as a junior clerk for Colby Brothers, Shipbuilders, at Oulton Broad.
